Quilt magazine December 17, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Terrific magazine. After many years of not quilting, I am getting back into it. Plus I have a website that offers quilts: www.BeehiveQuilts.com. This magazine helps me stay current in what is going on in the quilt world.
One of the Best quilter magazines June 7, 2007 25 out of 25 found this review helpful
i've subscribed for years, and even gone so far as to purchase older editions on EBAY. This is a terrific magazine with a lot of eye candy and good solid instructions and ideas. The cover quilts are always outstanding, great enough to frame. The instructions for these cover quilts weren't usually available but now, thanks to new copy format, all patterns are available as well as new quilting and patchwork techniques. You really can't go wrong in purchasing this magazine. It is definitely not a throw-away-at-the-end-of-the-month mag. There's a lot to offer for beginners as well as advanced quilters.
Amazon is too quick August 15, 2006 0 out of 12 found this review helpful
Sorry, I have not yet received my 1st issue of the magazine - it will be another month or so before it comes. Thanks anyway for the chance to review
Just don't deal with customer service April 17, 2006 11 out of 14 found this review helpful
After subscribing to Quilters Newsletter for 14 years (!) I suspended my subscription for a year while we traveled in Europe for a year. When I tried to resume my subscription they told me my subscription had been cancelled for "non-payment" even though my subscription was paid up through 2007. I was hung up on twice, by a "supervisor" once.
These people are happy to rip you off.
Follow-up: They did eventually fix the problem but it took 2 months, 2 phone calls, and the label from an old issue mailed to them. I would upgrade this to 3 stars or delete the review but Amazon doesn't seem to have that facility.
Great ideas for all levels March 2, 2004 20 out of 20 found this review helpful
From the first time I picked this magazine up until now, I have been impressed with it. This magazine, unlike others, has great articles about quilters, techniques, fabrics, and everything else you can imagine that has anything to do with quilting. This magazine also showcases, in every issue, different quilting events that take place around the world. As a quilter, I've found that it is really great to see what other quilters have done to fabric. When it comes to the designs within the magazine, what I like best is that there are always a great variety of designs and techniques. Some magazines focus on the beginner level and throw in a couple of intermediate designs from time to time. I keep all of my magazines to use in the future, it is always my hope that I will, in the future, no longer be a beginner. I want those more challenging designs available to me--QNM does just this. QNM is a wonderful magazine which is able to encompass all aspects of quilting, from beginners to more expert/challenging designs.
