When it was delivered I opened the package and inflated it. It smells too strong chemical. I have this stay inflated and let the smell fade away for a few days.

I originally bought the red areobed slumber bed for my son. I bought it from Amazon for $40. w/free shipping. It does come with a outlet only air pump but that didn't bother me because it is better than the battery operated pumps. The bed inflates fast and also deflates the bed very quickly. It comes with a red back pack to store the bed and my son loves it. I then ordered 2 of the purple areobeds for my daughters from Allery be gone. I purchased them for $29.99 each and paid for shipping. I am very pleased with the areobeds they are very durable. My son who is 4 put it to the test with all the jumping he did on it, it still is in good condition with no leaks. Your kids will love their own traveling color air beds with back packs to match.

The product description said the pump was battery operated. It is not. It needs to be plugged into a wall outlet.
