This pillow was too big and bulky to be useful on an airplane. I could see how it would be great used as a normal pillow.

I have chronic neck pain due to the curvature of my spine at the neck. Rather than my neck curving back slightly it curves almost forward. Long ago my chiropractor suggested rolling a thick towel and placing it under my neck for at least half an hour a day. I tried but the pain was almost unbearable, more so than my normal neck pain.
Several months later I stumbled across a dogbone neckbone pillow in Walmart. I was hesitant to try it for fear I would have the same pain that I had with the rolled towel but decided to give it a go. That pillow was the best investment ever for my pain! It gave my neck just the support I needed in order to relieve the pressure that my condition causes and allow my muscles to relax. I woke up feeling refreshed and stopped having the severe headaches that my neck pain was causing. I used that pillow for over 3 years before it wore out to the point of being thread-bare. Unfortunately I never replaced it and over the last 6 years my neck pain has become increasingly more severe again.
I am tired of waking up with sore neck muscles and severe headaches. I am ordering myself another dogbone TODAY! I can't believe I never looked on Amazon for them before!

Versatile little pillow October 6, 2008
I bought these on a buy 3 get 1 free offer. I planned to keep a couple for road trips and maybe give the other two away, but they are so cute that I kept them all and have them stashed all over the house. The paisley turquoise is the prettiest, I think, and looks great in our bedroom. I use them when laying on my side to read, watching TV in the guest room, or for extra support when napping or sleeping.
