I bought this matress pad to make my horrible mattrass a little softer so I could sleep better.
I definetely sleep better now.
4 stars for the price - I think that it is a little bit to much for a piece of foam pad

Purchased this topper after reading reviews. Tested various mattresses and the $$$$ price tag to go along with them.
This topper is solid, soft, and fit my queen bed perfectly. I did not notice any smell as noted by other reviews.
Great sleeping since purchase. I highly recommend.

This was a great buy. It feels like I have a new bed. I was worried after reading other reviews that said it made them too hot, then I saw something about "The Bed Fan" on "The View" TV show, and decided to buy one of those. I got it from Amazon.com. I let the foam mattress topper air out for about a week draped over my living room couch (it really does have a strong smell when it comes out of the box)and flipped it over half way through. I found that after a week it had expanded fully as well. I sprayed it with Glade Fabric & Air Odor Eliminator, put it on top my bed, put a mattress cover over it, assembled the Bed Fan, made the bed up and was in heaven! This is the first night that I have not had to flip from side to side. It really is comfortable. I even bought one for my son to use in his apartment. I read the other reviews and had three concerns: heat, odor and size. I don't know if I would have been hot without the Bed Fan or not, but I would have bought it anyway for hot flashes. The odor was undetectable after I aired it out and sprayed it. I had read that people said that the mattress was too small for their bed. I found that after letting it expand for a week prior to putting on my bed, it actually was a little larger than my king sized mattress, not too small.
Not as stinky as expected! July 13, 2008
While the foam mattress hasn't solved all my sleeping discomforts, it HAS been an improvement. I left it outside to air for two days, and it wasn't at all smelly (of the off-gassing odors I had been led to believe were bad). so I'm satisfied.
Foam mattress topper worth the July 10, 2008
Very comfortable. Takes a day to fully relax after unpacking; a couple of days to dissipate some smell. No shipping cost for Amazon Prime. Highly recommended
