I've ordered a total of 5 of these this year. Three will be great gifts and 2 I used to transform my sofa into a new designer look. I have one of those deep sofas with all the pillows. It is a wedgewood blue patten with pink piping of the same pattern. I'm just tired of the color. So I got the Purple/wine and a light brown. That matches a chair in the room. I put one on the seat and draping almost to the floor. The dark one over the 3 biggest pillows alsong the back. Then placed the two smaller pillows and 3 that match the chair in front of that. It totaly changes the room and looks like House Beautiful. $20 for a room makeover.
Got it done and was looking in this months Domino magazine it shows a makover of living room with throws. Made me feel like a designer.
Just wanted to throw this out about the throws LOL. Also now when you sit on it is is snuggle soft. Great quality throw!

While I am a little old for a blankie, this is my blankie of choice. It is so soft, like a new teddy bear and keeps me nice and warm. I use mine with a Sunbeam warming throw and I'm cooking. I like to be extra hot, though. I am always cold.
I have had my first one for over a year now and still use it like crazy. After washing, I only put mine in the clothes dryer a couple of minutes and then air dry it on my butterfly clothing rack. That way, the polyester doesn't singe in the dryer. I just bought two more as gifts and one for my husband (who needs to keep his hands off mine!) This is "that" throw that everyone goes after on a chilly night. Get a couple and save yourself the grief of everyone fighting over it.
Fantastic Throw and Great Value! December 11, 2008
I bought a couple of these because other Amazonians were raving about them and the price was excellent. Wow, they were right! This is a thick, plush, and super soft throw. I've only washed it once, but it seems to have held up well. It's perfect for just 1 person to use on the couch. My kids love them and call them the "special blankets." For the price and quality, you can't go wrong.

Yes, it's soft and does keep you warm so there goes one star.
However, it sheds quite badly even the first time I took it out from the package. Weird shape as other said. Bought a Berkshire Blanket throw from BedBath&Beyond years ago - thinner, lighter, better quality and still keeps me warm after all these years. Just couple bucks more than this after BBB 20% discount. Should have bought it from BBB.
Want to return it but will cost me too much to ship. Will use this for white elephant in christmas party.

Despite the glowing reviews, I was still hesitate on buying this item because I am such a bedding snob. I also had a similar "material" blanket I had bought from Kohl's and although that was soft too, I did NOT like it, because it was short "hairred," cold to the touch, and after a little use, it held in heat too well since it wasn't "breathable."
This is UNBELIEVABLE! The reviwers that refferred to this as "furry" is absolutely right! This is as warm as my Westie, but much, MUCH softer than her!! Out of the bag, I had a lot of initial static electricity, but after a little bit, that went away completely! No shedding, no lint. It's incredibly soft, and incredibly warm! I seriously want to be engulfed in this thing 24/7!
The sizing of the throw is great too! I can curl up in it on the sofa, or like I did the last few nights, used it underneath my sheets! I'm in la la land! SoooOo warm and SoOoOoo soft! What more can you ask for? I bought it in Aubergine, and it's a GORGEOUS deep, rich, eggplant color.
I love it so much, I'm here to buy yet another one, and am also buying it in the king size! Hopefully the blanket is just as good as this throw!
Don't even think about it! Just buy it! You won't regret it! If you do, you can always send it to me! =D
ETA: Having the augerbine color, I was a bit afraid of it picking up lint and showing up clearly, especially since I have a white dog with long hair and she sleeps in bed with me. Not a problem! So even an extra bonus!
