Sunbeam Blanket November 24, 2008 My grandma wanted an electric blanket, and I didn't know much about them so I bought one based solely on Amazon reviews. She is for the most part very happy with it, glad that I got a Sunbeam, says it's easy to adjust the heat and has enough heat even at the lower settings. Her only complaint is that it does seem to shed.
I'm pleased November 22, 2008 This blanket is exactly as advertised. I like the lighted dial. The wide on/off bar is easy for a sleepy person's groping fingers to operate.
great blanket November 19, 2008 This is my first venture into the electric blanket world and spent lots of time researching to see what the best options were, complaints, and affordability. I was a little turned off at first for subbeam and other companies received such negative reviews about their products so held out for a couple of weeks until the cold got to me. I decided to go with this blanket based mainly on the price and the ratio of positive reviews in comparison to other blankets. I have a queen bed but found that the price for a full was considerably much cheaper than a queen and since I only want to heat up my cold bed i figured size doesn't matter. I was right. This blanket heats up my bed fast and evenly. I read some reviews where people can't feel the warmth or it's not warm to touch- this blanket however certainly warms up my bed. The control is easy to use and i like the multiple heat options to adjust for the weather. Some drawbacks are the location of the cord is right in the middle at the foot of your feet instead of to the side and that you can really feel the wires in this but overall- i love this blanket. I find it essential now and i never have to lay in bed breathing under the blankets to warm up.
Warranty Issues... November 17, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have the same issues as everyone else. I bought my blanket earlier this year (January of 2008) and it worked well before. Now that I'm using it again, it's not working at all. Even when its turned on the highest heat seating, it's not working. Warranty is annoying. Who cares if there is a 5 year warranty, it won't even last a year before you have issues with it. Sad.
Not worth the money November 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought a Sunbeam electric blanket a year ago. Last year it worked fine, but did leave fuzz all over the place. Just got it out of the closet, and guess what? Now it doesn't work. Called Sunbeam Customer Service, and I have to PAY to have it shipped back to them. After spending over 100.00 on the blanket, I don't want to have to ship it back to them. I will, because I can't afford another 100.00 for a new blanket, but I will NEVER buy another Sunbeam product again.
