Very, Very Beautiful, But a Few Concerns... July 25, 2007

Just some notes about this set, so you can make an informed decision:
I bought this same King-size bedding set in red from Bed Bath and Beyond. I have had my red Bella bedding set since November 2006.
Although it is very beautiful, I find that the batting (the stuffing) inside the comforter is shifting and bulging in areas. It's not box-stitched or anything like that to keep the batting in place. There are maybe 4 stitches throughout the comforter that connect the diamond-patterned side to the striped side, and I believe 2 of those stitches have broken on mine, allowing the batting inside to move around even more easily.
The comforter is VERY warm. A lot of times, I have to push it off of me because it is just so hot. I've never had a comforter as utterly warm as this one.
Also, I have started to notice that the diamond-patterned side of the comforter has a problem with long, knotted threads popping out of the diamonds' stitching. I am not hard on my comforter, so it concerns me that the stitching around the diamonds may unravel or something.
Finally, I didn't like the sheets. Sure, they're pretty in the package, and they complement the bedding set beautifully, but they are not all that soft and not that great of quality, and they wrinkled horribly every single time I washed them. I am NOT a fan of having to iron sheets.
All in all, there are a few concerns with how long it will last, but it really is a beautiful set, and I have gotten many complements on it.
