Sony and the iPhone/iPod October 24, 2008 Very easy to use. Automatic updating of time (if set that way). Great sound, very compact.
Blinded by the light October 24, 2008 The clock radio does what it says - works with the iPod Touch. My biggest gripe is the display is VERY bright even at its lowest setting. I have to turn the unit away from the bed - which defeats the purpose of having a clock... The built in alarm is very quiet/gentle - it has not been a problem, and nice not to be startled into waking. If you need loud, I supposed you can find a loud radio station or iPod song. Sound is decent for a clock radio.
Not a pleasant experience October 6, 2008 0 out of 5 found this review helpful
The product was shipped from Onecall. Arrived in a timely manner...but broken (screen or sound did not work). After I paid to ship it back, I waited cluelessly for notification that it was received but never got it. After several painful and untimely emails back and forth, I find out that Onecall will not offer the product anymore. Now I'm out $12 (return shipping) and don't have anything to show for it.
It is not Onecall's fault that the product was defective, but it is their fault for poor customer service.
Had to rate as 1 star because it would not let me choose 0.
Great Value! (Watch out: This is NOT the iPhone compatible version) October 6, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Very good value for the money. A heads up for iPhone owners: If you are looking for the iPhone compatible version, make sure you order ICF-C1IPMK2 instead of ICFC1IPBLK. They look the same but ICFC1IPBLK experiences interference and gives a warning. Here is the link: Sony ICF-C1IPMK2 Speaker System and Clock Radio with iPod Dock (Black)
Don't replace your alarm clock with this October 5, 2008 I bought this specifically for an alarm clock/iphone charger. It replaced an older sony cheapo alarm clock. The older sony had a longer snooze and let you push the snooze button more than once. This one has a crappy 5 min. snooze and only adjusts the brightness after the first push (worthless feature btw -- brightness should be lowest setting always). The snooze button is right behind the ipod dock (and the phone is taller than the clock -- picture with nano is misleading), and not easily accessible when you're half awake (the first two days I used this, I knocked my iPhone right out of the dock looking for snooze button). Also the off button is poorly placed and the sound quality is bad even for sony.
