The Z arm allows for complete open sided stitching. Avaliable with a clamp that will hold either Q-Snaps , stretcher bars or any brand scroll frames. This unique ''Z'' design allows the stitcher to adjust the height of the frame from 4'' to 10'' depending on their preference. Like the Original Frame series from K's the Z series is completely collapsible to lay flat for storage without disassembly. The base and clamp are solid oak with an antique golden oak oil rubbed finsh. The Z frame is 16-1/2''x5-1/2'' when open. If you are looking to accommodate a frame larger than 20'' diameter, consider the Original. The double sided hold on the Original frame is more appropriate for larger size work.

This frame is so great. Easy to put together, nicely made (its hard wood and I was concerned about rough edges, but its really nicely sanded and treated), its very easy to put the item you are working on in the clamp, and it is also easy to adjust the angle to get really comfy. I am working on a large cross stitch peice roughly 2feet by 1.5 feet which I have in a 17 by 17 inch frame and this stand holds it easily. It folds down to a really manageable size and so I plan to take it with me when I go on vacation in August. I can have it on my lap and put my feet up on the recliner so my back is so much happier. Highly recommended.
