Product Description Kaiser Bakeware offers the broadest product range in the bakeware industry offering both classic and creative shapes. Known for bakeware innovations, Kaiser invented the springform pan, the "intelligent round cake pan" and is the world's largest manufacturer. Kaiser bakeware products have been made to the highest standards of German craftsmanship for over 85 years. Manufactured from steel base metal, the products provide even and gentle heat distribution for even browning and baking.Kaiserflex silicone bakeware and accessories are flexible and unbreakable, heat-resistant to 500?? F and cold-resistant to -40?? F, dishwasher safe, and resistant to fruit acids. This Kaiserflex Grill Basting Brush is made of blue silicone with a stainless steel handle. Dishwasher safe.
Amazon.com Review The soft, flexible silicone bristles on this grill basting brush won't fall out and get into food the way real hair bristles do, and the clean-up is much easier, too. The long stainless-steel handle provides extra reach over hot coals or into an oven for applying sauces and marinades, and the loop styling makes the brush easy to hang. Silicone is one of those new wonder materials that is heat resistant up to very high temperatures, in this case 500 degrees F, which means the brush won't melt or droop and can be cleaned in the top rack of the dishwasher. Kaiser also makes smaller silicone pastry brushes. --Ann Bieri

Great Kitchen/BBQ Tool October 24, 2008 The Extra Large Kaiser KaiserFlex Silicone Grill Basting Brush is great for applying sauce on grilled BBQ Chicken. We have always used a mop style applicator but the greasy sauce was so hard to clean up and sometime, the metal bands around the mop would rust. We would use if a few times, but not more than 3 before we had to purchase a new mop. The silicone brush washes up beautifully in the dishwasher. I own 3 or 4 different sizes and highly recommend them.
Great brush head, not so great handle September 30, 2008 The brush head itself is just the size I was looking for in a barbeque brush and works fine. The handle is also the right length. However, I could not tell from the picture that the handle is metal, not solid. Using a handle that is essentially a piece of thick wire bent in two feels uncomfortable and unbalanced in your hand. It also makes unwieldy to use. If I had known the handle was actually a metal loop instead of a solid material, I would have never purchased it. Because I like the brush head, I just wrapped the handle in duct tape. Not a perfect fix, but better than the original design of the handle.
Superb! April 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm amazed at how well this works. I should have been using these for years. Some have complained it doesn't hold as much as a boar bristle brush. I think it does but you need to use it differently. This brush needs to be dipped deeply to take on a good load. Since it doesn't have a ferrule like a bristle brush it's not a problem to dip the bristles all the way to the top. It is very gentle. I brush bagettes with an egg wash and it's gentle enough for that. Cleans beautifully in the dishwasher and is heat resistant enough to stir melting butter and hot sauces on the stove. It's just great. This one is big enough to use on a gas grill too and it won't melt or stick. It also doesn't take a set like a bristle brush. I will be buying more of these.

Well-made, big, heat resistant, but hard to wash off the extra-pungent barbeque sauce odor!
Oh, this thing is really great! May 22, 2006 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I've tried a few different silicone brushes and I really like this kaiser a lot. The bristles are thinner and closer together then other brands so it really holds a lot of sauce. They are also more flexable because they are longer. Super brush and very easy clean up by hand or just toss in the dish washer. If you want a great brush for brushing milk or egg on pastry try the smaller mario batalli one, the bristles on that one are flat and each one is ridged great for applying liguids. But if you are looking for an excellent basing/barbq brush get this one, it's really super! Great gift idea too.
