 too risque for teens December 2, 2008
Much of this is too risque for teens. Too much emphasis on fashion. More sex info than I'm comfortable with. (And yes, I'm a mom not a teen.) There really doesn't seem to be much of an alternative for teens other than magazines that are toooo young.

I bought this for dirt cheap, maybe $5-8 for the year. My daughter loves getting this each month and often asks if her current issue's arrived yet. I didn't give the full amount of stars because I'm not crazy about some of the articles and I don't like the ads selling to my child. That aside, there are some useful and entertaining things in there, too. I bought it for a 14 year old though now that I've looked at it I think it may be more appropriate for around 16.

This was a gift subscription for Valentine's Day for my niece. She loves the magazine and she even received the first issue sooner than what was estimated at the time of my order. Would order again.

I don't have a subscription, but I would like one. I buy the magazine every month because it has better stuff than the average teen mag.
