Product Description
Her relationship with fiance Paul Waddell in tatters, Hannah Lapp has fled her secluded Old Order Amish community in hopes of finding a new home in Ohio with her shunned aunt. Hampered by limited education and hiding her true identity, Hannah struggles to navigate the confusing world of the Englischers. Back in Owl?s Perch, Pennsylvania, Paul is wracked with regret over his treatment of Hannah. Fearing for her safety, he tries to convince Hannah?s remaining allies?brother Luke, best friend Mary, and loyal Matthew Esh?to help search for his love. Hannah?s father, however, remains steadfastly convinced of her sinful behavior. His blindness to his family?s pain extends to her sister, Sarah, who shows signs of increasing instability. Convinced her former life is irreparably destroyed, Hannah finds purpose and solace in life with her aunt and in a growing friendship with Martin Palmer. Will the countless opportunities in her new life persuade Hannah that her place is amongst the Englischers ? or will she give in to her heart?s call to return home and face her past?

Sweet story November 11, 2008 Clearly the author knows the Amish and Menonite people. I love that she put a list of characters in the front of the book and explained who they are, so you aren't lost from the start about who is being referred to. Great story. I will purchase more of these books.
Loved It! October 31, 2008 I loved this book... as soon as i finished it I jumped in my car to buy the next one in the series!
When the Morning Comes October 21, 2008 Once I had read the first book of the Sisters of the Quilt, I couldn't wait to find book 2 and 3. Amazon was the fastest way.
When The Morning Comes October 12, 2008 When the Morning Comes (Sisters of the Quilt, Book 2) If you like books about the Amish, this is an author you will want to look for. It tells you a good story and introduces the culture of the quiet and faithful Amish people.
I can hardly wait for the next installment... September 27, 2008 [...] This is another great book by Cindy Woodsmall. I can hardly wait to read the next installment. When the Morning Comes is about changes in life. You can think you have things all planned, but then something happens and everything changes. This book clearly demonstrates how tightly you need to hold on to your faith and to remember that although it seems like everyone is against you, God is always for you. This is also a lesson in learning from your choices. What you chose to do or not do will affect everyone around you. Hannah Lapp was shunned by all the people in her Amish community except a very good friend. Even Paul, the boy she loved, turned his back on her. Hannah left the Amish life and began anew. She moved in with her Aunt and adapted to the English culture. She is called back to the Amish community for an emergency. Now we must wait to see what happens next.
