Huge disappointment from MODA October 26, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
MODA quilt fabrics, and MODA designers, are the absolutely BEST in the world. So I expected great things from this book. But the projects they included in this book are awful, across the board. It's like they picked the designers' rejected designs to include in this book. The interviews with the designers are interesting to read, and there are some neat pics, but the projects suck. What was MODA thinking? "Let's publish a book featuring our very best and talented designers, and let's include boring and/or lame patterns." Huh? See the book before you purchase it. That's my advice. It's a real shame, because MODA is a superb fabric company. This book should have been outstanding, but instead it's very disappointing.

I thought for sure I'd like this one. What Quilter doesn't love the array of wonderful Moda fabrics? The idea that they would come out with a book is a great idea. But I saw it in the Quilt Shop and, well, you should look at the book first. Don't assume "Moda" nor their "artists" made the best choices for you without seeing it.
