After learning that he and his wife Brooke face infertility, Grant discovers that a group of fathers are secretly organizing to have him dismissed as head coach. Devastated by his circumstances, he cries out to God in desperation. When Grant receives a message from an unexpected visitor, he searches for a stronger purpose for his football team. Austin does everything his way until his dishonesty and manipulation are repeatedly exposed. Like many men, he becomes disgusted by the masks he wears and lies he tells. While having a classic convertible repaired, Austin begins a humorous and inspiring journey to win back the hearts of his wife, his son, and his community. In every man's life, there can be a turning point. When Jay Austin makes his turn, he never looks back.

Movies to watch and watch again!! January 6, 2009 Loved the movies Flywheel and Facing the Giants. Both have good stories and Christian messages. Have watched both more than once.
great movie November 26, 2008 I enjoyed both Flywheel and Facing the Giants. Both very inspirational movies on how some changes in the way we live our professional lives affect our family lives. It is so nice to see good Christian films like this.
I have also seen Fireproof and highly recommend each of these movies.
Evaluation of Facing the Giants and Flywheel November 15, 2008 In an age when most movies seem to be a cast of characters in search of a plot with poor acting, extensive special effects, offensive behavior included for shock value and no significant message, Facing the Giants and Flywheel were a breath of fresh air. Both of these movies had plots based on real world struggles by ordinary people. It was refreshing to see portrayals of lives where character, integrity, courage, humor, faith and persistence made a difference in their lives and the lives of others. The third movie in this series, Fireproof, followed the same format and was excellent; I can hardly wait for the DVD to become available. I can only hope that we are offered more movies of this genre.
FAMILY CHRISTIAN ENTERTAINMENT FOR ANY AGE November 9, 2008 Two outstanding pictures with a moral message. This set contains the films "FACING THE GIANTS" & "FLYWHEEL" created by the people behind the current outstanding theater HIT, "FIREPROOF." I wholeheartedly recommend all three movies to everyone, including my own children and their families.
You will see some of the same "stars" performing different roles in each of these stories. This Georgia movie-making congregation is cranking out quality without Hollywood. While you're waiting on the release of "Fireproof" on DVD, get this set and enjoy both. Don't let the NOT RATED scare you. No one swears, kills, is nude, or any of the other "suggested musts" of the traditional movie producers. This is good, funny, inspirational, touching, spiritual, joyful...well...it's all good.
AWESOME job by Sherwood Pictures and the writing, producing, directing, and acting of the Kendrick brothers. There is even lots of good special feature extras showing how they do it in Georgia.
Facing the Giants November 7, 2008 It's a great family film and especially for young folks that are into athletics, though the lessons in the film are applicable in every day life as well. I'm making sure that all of my grandchildren have an opportunity to see it.
