Excellent! December 30, 2008 Even better than her first book! I am looking forward to her third. She shows GREAT promise. She makes her characters real to the reader.
Incredibly Entertaining! November 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
While I personally never imagined I would read a book that fell under the theme of a "Quilting Mystery", Old Maid's Puzzle is exactly what the casual weekend reader ordered. This amusing mystery is set in Dewey Pellicano's inherited quilt shop and the readers instantly share her pain and frustration as she deals with the day-to-day struggle to keep her business a float and the non-stop drama of her family, friends and significant other. When a body shows up, Dewey works against the clock to discover the truth behind his death without losing more business. Incredibly entertaining!

This was such a fun book to read. It kept me in suspense and wanting it to go on and on. I love this book and the writing. I would love to read more of her books.
light and entertaining October 24, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I just recently discovered Terri Thayer; this is the second book I've read. Her style is very light and moves along quickly. I must admit that I got rather frustrated with the way she dealt with her sister-in-law, so when that issue was finally resolved, I wanted to say, 'hallelujah'! I am a quilter, but it's not necessary to be one to enjoy the book. If you like this sort of thing, check out Maggie Sefton. She's a knitter who writes mysteries.

I am thoroughly enjoying all of Terri Thayer's books. I hope she writes many more.
