I bought this design book online as an inexpensive Secret Santa gift. She is not getting it! Initially I was underwhelmed on opening the book. Each continuous line design is drawn on what looks like 1/4" square graph paper. On further examination I decided that this could be really useful for resizing the designs.
The introduction contains a generous amount of practical how to information, unusual in a design book as opposed to a how to book. In my opinion, those six pages alone would be worth the purchase price.
I found that each and every one of the 86 designs has its own "StitcherEase" tip, a clearly marked design repeat and most importantly, shows how to turn the corner with the design. There are flowing curved designs, and sharp geometrics, simple and complex ones.
Many of the designs would be lovely used in the borders of a quilt which had an overall or meandering design in the center.
This book is an inexpensive, excellent and inspirational resource for anyone who would like to learn how to mark and machine quilt their own tops.
