 excellent choice for extra bed! November 25, 2008
I used this bed for severla nights while fixing up a house in the mountains. I figured my back would be in pain after all the work, but the bed is extremely comfortabe and supportive. Fills in minutes and packs nicely into a packbag. I read about in Consumer Reports nd they were right...
 Bad for your health! November 21, 2008
This bed was fairly comfortable, but I started getting bad headaches after 3 nights. It took 2 more nights to realize that it's the vinyl stink from this air mattress that was making me sick. I couldn't believe it. Shame on you Simmons for make a product that poisons people.
Your results may very, but I learned a valuable lesson to watch out for bedding that stinks.
Comfortable Pillow Top Air Bed November 13, 2008
The Simmons Extraordinaire Pillow-Top Air Bed, Queen size, is one of the most comfortable air beds that I have ever had a chance to use.
FEEL
The velveteen pillow top is soft in texture and prevents the noise of sheets as you move around on the bed - plus it keeps the sheets in place due to increased friction. Due to the construction of the pillow top, it has very comfortable feel and consistency. The spring loaded valve allows you to set the bed from soft to firm. The mattress is solid in construction and feel.
SETUP/TAKEDOWN
Setup is quite easy with the electric air pump. It easily attaches to the spring loaded valve and inflates the bed quickly. A separate mechanism on the pump allows for quick deflation. The mattress is easy to fold and place into the accompanying nylon duffle bag.
SUMMARY
This is an excellent temporary bed for guests and one of the most comfortable air beds in its class. This is not intended to take the place of a daily use mattress. For the price, it is in the upper echelon of mattresses but is well worth it.

I love sleeping on air mattresses. This mattress sleeps very good. But I have to add air every other day.

Finding a double size air mattress to fit the sheets I already owned was tough enough, but i just moved cross-country and wanted to use the air mattress to avoid having to move my bed right away. This morning I contacted the phone number on the warranty because one of the heat-seals on the mattress busted, joining two support compartments and elevating the head of my bed. Before this happened I would have given a four or five star review- the bed stayed inflated all night, my sheets don't slip, nothing squeaked, and it was easy to inflate- now I have to hope that I can get it replaced. This is my second week of law school, I have better things to worry about.
