Don't Buy it! January 5, 2009 This is the worst dishwasher detergent I have ever used. Many of the dished simply did not get clean and the ones that did had a gray film on them.
Perfect for silver/silver plated utensils December 21, 2008 We started using this product several years ago when we bought Christofle silver plate for our everyday silverware and HAD to use a NON-CHLORINE product or the silver would turn black. We have used it and bought it by the case ever since and have never had the problem of it coating our dishes, etc. I believe that issues is more of a water problem (well water vs. public, hardness vs. softness, etc) than product related. We have two dishwashers, they are older Fridgidaires and still no problem using this product to clean our dishes. I prefer the lemon scent to the green apple, which is just too industrial sweet smelling to me. But overall, we love this product and would not switch back even if we had non-silver plate utensils!
Wonderful Product November 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It cleans the dishes beautifully. I've had no problems with it and have had no film residue left on the dishes afterward and it smells good not strong at all.
Can't be green to wash twice. November 6, 2008 I used to use Cascade or whatever was cheap. I thought I'd try the supposedly green choice. Doesn't remove coffee stains from cups. Leaves film on dishes. I have to soak silverware so it comes clean. I use so much water prewashing the dishes that the Cascade has to be more enviro friendly in the end. I'm switching to something else. Glad I only had 1 bottle.
Just doesn't clean October 24, 2008 Despite "using less" as recommended by the manufacturer; despite using a rinse-aid; despite underloading the dishwasher -- this gel simply does not get my dishes clean. There is food residue left behind on everything, even non-stick pans. I'm switching back to a low-phosphate commercial brand (Palmolive is under 2% phosphate).
