 Crisp percale sheets with excellent pillowcases November 12, 2008

Do you know what percale feels like? That superfine feel, like microscopic corduroy, like plywood made of cotton. Firmer and more snappy than other weaves but soft when done right and these are quite soft, right out of the bag and after that all important first wash. No ironing required, especially with the wrinkle prevent setting on your dryer.
I chose White - Queen, and the fitted sheet is very ample, no trouble fitting over puffy pillow top mattresses and no annoying seam errors in the corners. The top sheet is also ample and the stitching is single thread and precise, but it doesn't look rugged, delicate setting for the washer. There were no loose threads.
The pillow cases are exceptional, there is just something about them, the seam is very well done and the weave is perfect percale and the opening is a proper flap of fabric to tuck in, which I prefer.
If you are looking for percale and you don't mind the extra expense over otherwise excellent cotton or cotton blends, these are recommended for that "Hotel Sheet Feel".

These sheets are great - if you like the feel of hotel sheets! They are somewhat stiff so they don't wrinkle, they are nice and heavy, yet breathable. If you have a pillowtop mattress or a mattress topper you will love how deep both the fitted and the top sheet are, I ordered queen sheets for my pillowtop mattress and I still have another few inches of depth if I needed it. If you like feeling like you are sleeping in crisp, hotel sheets every night then these are the sheets for you!

This is a good set of sheets for the money. They are cool and crisp and wrinkle free. The top sheet is larger than most sets I own. I particularly like the pillowcases and the envelope style closing they have that keeps the pillow locked inside the case, and they are just the right size for my queen latex and down pillows. Unlike my higher thread count sheets this look and feel rather thin and I am able to see through them. The percale weave gives these a different feel than most sheets, and I'm not completely sold on it myself which is why I only rated these 3 stars. It's not the silky smooth finish of egyptian or pima cotton but I guess it's just a matter of preference. These have more body to them, almost a firmness, compared to other sheets that tend to go limp and wrinkly. I think these might do work well in the summer when the weather gets hot.

I absolutely love these sheets.They are soft and crisp and wash beautifully and don't need ironing.
High quality sheets at a low price.
