 Too Hard for Sleep August 28, 2008
I bought one of these for myself and my husband for Christmas. After a mix up with the order and waiting forever to get them we only used them maybe a month off and on. They were to firm and hard and made our necks hurt worse because they were so high. Some reviews said you had to give it time to get use to the difference, but I found myself reaching for my "old" pillow in the middle of the night and using this one between my knees. I even tried taking the pillow case it comes with off and using a standard pillow case...what a mess, I ended up with beads throughout the bed. My husband who likes a firmer pillow could not use it either and now both are in a spare drawer in storage.

The first week I slept on it, it wasn't too bad but than after a while the beads seemed to shift more away from my neck not supporting it as much as I needed. I will be trying to return this, it's not worth the money!

I bought this for my partner. He loved it and I wanted to steal it from him. I tried it once and never gave it back! It is firm yet so comfortable. I had to order a second one! It is great for a back sleeper and it keeps it's shape. Unlike most pillows I have bought. This one never bunches or is half a pillow. I have bought literally hundreds of pillows looking for one that is *it*. This is *it* for me. I am going to buy another one as I love the cover too. Normally I must have my CK pillowcases with the combed cotton. I just would LOVE to have more pillowcases like this. I am a pillow snob as I have back and neck problems and this cradles the neck perfectly! I don't have to wake up during the night and *fix* the pillow or fluff it. I will be buying this for gifts. I am loving these pillows! Now the only problem is where to find pillowcases like these? If you don't like a firm pillow don't buy..if you do buy buy!
def. a great buy for neck injury August 2, 2008
i have a neck injury and have had a very hard time finding the right pillow that will support and allow a peaceful sleep and this pillow does just that. If I need extra support i use the pillowcase that came with it if i dont i use just a regular pillowcase which allows me to self adjust the pillow to my liking and need. i recommend this pillow to anyone that has a neck injury just remember to try out using the case and not before deciding if it works for you or not.

Finally- the perfect pillow!
If you've been searching for a pillow that will firmly, effortlessly and consistently support your head and neck in any sleeping position and yet still feel like the most amazing traditional pillow you've always hoped to find- then this is the one for you!
For years, I've used the Sobakawa/buckwheat pillows. But, they're smaller and flatter. And, unless you could fold it into the exact right position each night, you'd risk waking up with a stiff neck.
With this particular Micro Bead Therapy Pillow, it's the perfect size in every direction and there's no "wrong way" to rest your head on it.
Also, too, with the super-soft velour pillowcase that comes with it, it doesn't slide around on the bed. And, contrary to what the other customers have said, I do feel the case is a perfect fit and meant to "contain" the pillow at exactly the right firmness.
I've spent hundreds of dollars and so many years searching for the perfect pillow that won't shift or bunch or be too soft or too firm.
I was searching for something that would give me the support of a buckwheat pillow, but be gentler to lay my head on- especially during a migraine. And, something I could just toss down and fall asleep on in an incredibly comfortable position every time--- and this is it!!!
My only wish is that you could buy additional pillowcases for it or have a color choice for the velour case.
