Love this bed! August 20, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I actually came accross this airbed when a friend of mine lent me the item when i had some friends visiting. I gave up my bed and slept on the airbed! I have to tell you it is comfortable and sturdy. I am a big guy and had no problems with the bed at all.
It was easy to inflate. Plug it in and turn it on. The pump does all the work. I unlike some, I had no problem folding (the trick is folding into 3rds) it up and slipping it back into the nice shoulder bag.
After my friends visit i decided to purchase one of these beds myself.
Got it filled it up to make sure all was good and of course it was!
Item was shipped and recieved it before the expected date!
The price of this bed is fantastic because most airbeds i had looked for at most department stores stared over 150.00!
Very pleased with this product.
Much better than expected! May 18, 2008 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
We recently bought a new king-sized pillow top mattress and box spring hoping to ease my back pain. After a few months, decided to get rid of the king size bed because of the constant back pain. Our next step was to investigate the "Sleep Number" bed which is an expensive air bed. We then came across the Intex inflatable bed and thought we'd give it a try. Best bed purchase we ever made. Have not had one aching back since we purchased it and the price was much much lower than the other air bed. After the first couple of days, I thought that it would lose air and we'd end up on the floor. No way! I filled it once when we got it and it has held up ever since. I know this bed won't last forever so when this one is worn out, I will purchase two of them. Ahhh! Finally a good night's sleep!
Great Air Bed! March 19, 2008 22 out of 22 found this review helpful
We love this air bed! It is tall enough you don't have to struggle to get in and out of bed. Our last air bed was too low to the ground, it was so hard to get up and down. The built on air pump is great too, it is so easy to add more air or release air and the cord fits into a nice little compartment. We had no problem using a fitted sheet on it either :) It is really comfortable and so easy to use. Inflating and deflating is fast and simple. And the best part is that it fits into the drawstring bag (included) making it very portable and easy to store away. Only recommendation is to buy a foam pad, because if its cold then the air in the bed is cold and then its impossible to stay warm.
This is a Pretty Good Bed! December 4, 2007 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I really like this bed. We have guests over from time to time and since we've gotten this bed, our extra accomodations have gotten a lot nicer. Though we have an extra room, sometimes we have a third visitor who needs some other sort of accomodation. In the past it was the couch, but after we bought this bed we haven't looked back...
I researched several inflatable beds and I ended up purchasing what I had hoped to be the best value and comfort in those beds. I have not been disappointed.
The bed blows up in around 4 minutes at just the touch of a button -no more using foot pumps or blowing up by mouth. A nice feature here is that to let air out of the mattress the next morning all you do is twist this really large valve and a hole about the size of a half dollar piece lets out all the air about as quickly as it took to blow it up. There is absolutely no need to stand on the bed and try to push the air out of it -95% will come out just by the weight of the mattress pushing down on itself.
And now for the only problem I've encountered with this bed so far, and the reason I reduced my rating by one star... The canvas container for the bed is too small, and it is a pain to use. However, after the first time or two you will probably figure out the trick to folding the bed into the right proportion (thirds instead of doubles?) and then it will actually fit into the container -though you might need someone to help you pull the canvas bag over the folded bed. (Regardless, this design was just silly. Make the bag about 25% larger and you will have happier customers!)
One other annoying thing. The straps attached to the canvas bags have no padding, and the bed is pretty heavy. I got shallow cuts on my shoulder from carrying the bed for about 5 minutes. I had no idea where these red scratches were from, but I realized later it was because of the poor strap design, and the fact that they ended up cutting into my flesh slightly (through my shirt!)
And now, back to the bed itself...
Overall I am very happy with this purchase! It seems very well made and is comfortable as well...
