I purchased the blanket 1 year ago from Amazon, the only regret I have is not getting one sooner. Soft, ultra-breathable, warm, and good looking, you can only get this kind of quality from wool. I'm thinking about getting one more!

Bought this after reading the rave review, so excited to receive this, told my wife we can sleep without fighting for blankets cause I got this super duper fancy soft wool blanket. Even took off work so I can get home early to try this.
The result - returned back to Amazon. Fortunately for me Amazon makes returns ultra easy. Now for the comments on the blanket:
1. Soft - no way, this is very stiff, and extremly rough, like a soft sandpaper.
2. Itchy - try sleeping in shorts or short sleeves, the fabric will make you itch because of the sandpaper like feel.
3. warmth - yes, this is true, it does keep you warm. But, my $20 korean blanket keeps me plenty warm as well.
4. price - For $160, really expected to beat my $20 korean blanket in warmth & soft & comfort, unfortunately it beats in 0 catagory.
Solution - Get another korean blanket for $20. No more fighting for blanket with wife.

Warm and Comfy, Nothing Beats Wool March 17, 2007

We ordered a more expensive blanket from the premiere name in wool and payed for overnight shipping but UPS dropped the package a couple of blocks away and nobody seemed to care until we dropped our order.
But going through Amazon has always been a quality experience, so we gave this, unknown to us, product a try. We've been sleeping warm and cozy ever since. Soooo soft and warm. I'm thinking of ordering another. Even though this is advertised as heavy weight, one blanket is still not enough, even for the mild SoCal Spring nights. I will tell you if you don't already know, wool blankets are so far superior to any other material as to be the only real choice. Wool breathes and is warm, just like your second skin.
After a month of use, there is no pilling with the Teton. It is just large enough for a California King, which is nice because it eliminates the blanket fight with one's sleeping partner.
As I said, I'm ready to buy another, and would buy this as a gift but only for someone who I know is smart enough to sleep with wool. The last person we gave a wool blanket to is using it for their dog! Ouch. Wait till they reach middle age and a good night's sleep is not a given.
Quality all cotton sheets and wool blankets on a mattress you are sure of make growing old a lot more pleasurable and cozy.
