What can I say about a children's lamp?
In this case, it is two pieces of relatively thick plastic sandwiching a low power light bulb. It seems to be thick enough and strong enough to take some level of abuse from kids throwing a football in the room. And bright enough, without being too bright, for reading and night light use.
Overall, my 9 year old loves it for the moment. Which was the whole intention.

This was the only present our son opened the night of his birthday party (because there was a wedding at our house that night) and it was broken. He was devastated. So were we.

This is not a bright or white light. It lights up yellow and I think it's cool. It realy brought a different look to my daughter's Pokemon themed room. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it and it wasn't what I "was looking for", but I'm glad I bought it!!
