| Customer Reviews:
Silly, superfluous, a lot of fun October 9, 2008 Like a lot of Roger Price's best writing, this is just silly fun with lots of wit hiding beneath all the goofiness.
The book contends, not at all seriously, that your baby will become the person that matches the name you give him (or her). Then it goes on to list dozens of particular names along with the personalities that go with them. "ALMA is an ex-WAC who owns her own bowling ball." "CLIFF goes to the barber shop twice a week and talks loud. He likes to tell you how much everything he owns cost."
Lightweight altogether, I had a copy in the house when I was a kid, and when I bought my current one hadn't read it in over 30 years, but it still made me laugh. You'll read this in one good sitting, and it offers little substance, but lots of senseless giggles.
