Rating 4/5 I've owned one of these babies...have made many hundreds of cuts...tan oak, madrone and some redwood....reviews here. I don't know what...never had the chain jump off...bumped the guards a few times...putting pressure sideways against my work...minor issue and hasn't dulled the...the blade once and it's still...the dirt or a rock due...jaws. I cut about 5 cords...my trusty Husqvarna gas saw. However,...small branches 4" and under to...long. They are big enough for...cut up with the gas saw....I can easily and safely cut...without the work piece spinning or...It can be dangerous dealing with...it safe. The blade did stretch...so cuts and I had to...only have done that once and...seasoned wood. The chips easily clear...know what those complaints are...had small chunks of wood jam...but that can happen with any...trouble free saw!
I've only...a somewhat awkward tool to use...takes some getting used to, and...deserves a better oiler by far....automatically closes itself when you try...Who thinks of these things? Do...tools themselves? Also, it would be...device to clamp the extension cord...constantly falling out. I did purchase...Freight real cheap, but it should...cord. Shame on all these electric...thinking of that.
Extra points...for including vegetable oil as chain...use vegetable oil. I now use...saws as well. Cheaper and environmentally.../>It's a great tool but I...one. Great tool at a great...recommend it, but I've made quite...inch logs with my Alligator. You...to do it and I'm sure...never suggest it, but it easily...long as you don't push it...could easily happen by overworking it...if it seems to be getting...

But it just...I found that the instruction manual...The Black and Decker web site...now waiting for a new chain...with instructions. (Update Sept 4, 2008;...and there is a well illustrated...in the package.)
I...hurricane country on the Gulf Coast...the chainsaws would come out to...trees and branches. Since the electricity...storm, the Alligator isn't the best...situations. But for everyday light duty...
